About the position:
The Marine Superintendent (MSI), is overall responsible for ensuring that the activities related to the water works between ship and shore are performed in an optimal and safe manner.

1.       Providing leadership towards achieving the safety objectives of the company.
2.       Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant company’s (safety) guidelines and procedures (especially the NINA safety behavior program).
3.       Overall responsible for the safe operations of the equipment under all conditions.
4.       Defining day-to-day operational plan of work in cooperation with Captain and works Manager.
5.       Supervising the progress and execution of work.
6.       Ensuring timely and clear communication with relevant stakeholders.
7.       Ensuring the execution of planned maintenance and repairs on the auxiliary equipment.
8.       Timely drafting of reports and administration of data.
9.       Contributing to the improvement of operational and / or fleet management processes and procedures.

Work location:
- The work location will be working from the office in Papendrecht, but could be various workinglocations all over the world: the Phillipines, Australia,  Europe and sometimes the USA.

Skills:
At least 5 years relevant experience. Thorough knowledge of the dredging process and the specific requirements for handling of auxiliary equipment such as anchors, floating lines and sinkers during operational dredging

Education:
Secondary Vocational Education level
